Super Mario Run is finally available on iOS

n September, Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto made a surprise appearance at Apple’s iPhone 7 launch event to announce Super Mario Run for iOS. Now as promised, Nintendo has finally launched the game in the App Store. It is an endless runner game that’s free to play for a few levels, and can be completely unlocked if you shell out Rs 620.
Super Mario Run requires internet connectivity to play. The best part of the game is that it can be played with just one hand. Mario constantly moves forward through the levels while you use a variety of jumps to navigate. The behaviour of the character is different depending on the timing of your taps.
The highlights of Super Mario Run include World Tour, Toad Rally, and Kingdom Builder. In World Tour, you can navigate Mario to run and jump to rescue princess Peach from Bowser’s clutches. You travel through plains, caverns, ghost houses, airships, castles, and more. The World Tour has six worlds filled with 24 courses designed for one-handed play.
In Toad Rally mode, you can compete against your friends and challenge gamers all around the world. You can navigate Mario to perform stylish moves to fill up your gauge and launch into Coin Rush. It’s worth mentioning to compete against people, you will require tickets, which you can acquire in a variety of ways, such as by clearing worlds or through bonus games. Finally, in the Kingdom Builder mode, you can use collected coins and toads to build your very own kingdom. There are more than 100 kinds of items in the Kingdom Builder mode.
Super Mario Run is compatible with the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch running iOS 8.0 or later. The game will also be available for other platforms like Android next year.
