“nubia’s Z17 is a mid-range offering with a premium design and a mammoth battery”
ZTE’s sub-brand nubia is all set to launch the Z11 miniS smartphone in India next week. In the meanwhile, the company has teased the launch of yet another Z series smartphone in its home market of China. The upcoming nubia Z17 has been listed on the company’s website with full specs and pricing details. We’re not sure if this was an accidental listing, since it left nothing to the imagination about the new nubia offering.
As per the listing, the nubia Z17 features a sleek metal unibody design, which will be available in black and gold hues. The phone packs in a massive 5,000mAh battery, which is expected to support fast charging. The device comes with a 5.5-inch full HD display, and is powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 SoC, mated to 3GB of RAM.
The nubia Z17 features 64GB of internal memory, which can be further increased up to 128GB by inserting a microSD card. The camera department on the phone includes a 13-megapixel rear snapper with f/2.2 aperture, 5P lenses, 3D noise reduction and an LED flash. The device comes with dual-SIM slots with dual standby support and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
As per the teasers, the nubia Z17 will be available for RMB 2,699, roughly Rs 25,500. The phone is expected to be fully unveiled at the company’s event in China on March 21st, where it is also rumoured to launch the Z17 Mini.
