[Price drop]: Apple iPhone SE price reportedly slashed by up to Rs 10,000

“The 16GB variant of the iPhone SE can now be purchased for as low as Rs 19,999”
Almost a year after it landed in India, the 4-inch iPhone SE (review) has reportedly received a massive price cut in the country. Additionally, a new cashback offer on the phone is available from some retailers, and it can now be purchased for as low as Rs 19,999 (on card payments), which is a big step down from its launch price of Rs 39,999
Before you get your hopes high, do note that Apple India is yet to confirm these price drops officially. However, the word in the market says that the price cut is for real. Under the cashback offer, iPhone SE buyers who use credit / debit cards of select banks can avail a cashback of Rs 5,000 within 90 days of their purchase. Add to it the aforementioned price cuts, and it means that the 16GB variant of the device is now available between Rs 19,999 to Rs 23,999 (including the cashback) from select retailers. The 64GB variant on the other hand, will sell between Rs 25,999 to Rs 29,999. As you may have noticed, the pricing varies from retailer to retailer. Furthermore, the cashback offer is also available for the iPhone 5S.
At the time of writing this post, the 16GB variant of the iPhone SE is selling at Rs 29,999 and Rs 25,990 on Flipkart and Amazon India respectively. The news about the price cut was first reported by the Kerala-based retailer, @itnetinfocom. We’ll bring you more details if and when Apple confirms the news about the price cuts.
