“The Lava Z10 and Z25 feature metal bodies and a selfie flash”
Indian phone manufacturer Lava has announced two new smartphones in India dubbed the Z10 and the Z25. The devices are placed in the budget and mid-range segment respectively, and feature metal bodies.
The Z25 sports a 5.5-inch HD display and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor which has been aided by 4GB of RAM. The smartphone ships with 32GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. The device comes with a pair of 13MP and 8MP sensors at the back and the front respectively, each featuring their own flash units. A fingerprint sensor has been provided below the rear-facing camera module. Fuelled by a 3,020mAh battery, the smartphone runs a custom skin of StarOS on top of Android Marshmallow.
The Z10 is a stripped down version of the Z25 and comes in a compact form factor owing to its 5-inch HD display. The device is powered by a MediaTek MT6735 quad-core chip and is aided by 2GB of RAM. For storage, users get 16GB of internal memory, with room for further expansion up to 128GB via a microSD card. In the camera department, the smartphone comes with an 8MP primary camera and a 5MP selfie shooter. A dedicated LED flash unit can be found for both the cameras too. Users hard pressed for a fingerprint sensor will have to opt for the Z25, as the Z10 doesn’t ship with one. The handset sources its power from a 2,650mAh battery and runs Android Marshmallow with a skin of StarOS on top.

The Lava Z10 will set interested buyers back by Rs 11,500, while the Z25 retails for Rs 18,000. The smartphones will go on sale starting tomorrow via major brick-and-mortar retail stores across the country. The phones come with a 30 days replacement warranty and a one-time screen replacement warranty as well if it breaks before 365 days.
